ossi di seppia
Do you know Eugenio Montale and his "ossi di seppia" (cuttlefish bones)?
For example ...meriggiare pallido e assorto... one of the poems from the collection of ‘bones’ in which he talks about a scorching afternoon spent leaning against a wall, languidly watching time pass.
And the cuttlefish bones? Have you ever held one in your hand? Felt its texture, seen its colour, like a bone but, in fact, cuttlefish?
My bracelets have that colour, they are slowly carved by hand, until the ceramic gradually dries through contact and the passing of time. Each one is different because of this, like a meditation in the form of a bracelet, and my gestures and energy remain imprinted and pass on to the arm of the wearer.
A poem, a meditation, energy, would you like to wear all this?
